" A noble leader answers not the trumpet calls of self promotion, but to the hushed whispers of necessity" — Mollie Marti
In his seminar on developing transformational leadership, retired PLTGEN Cesar Hawthorne Binag underlined the significance of the PNPA cadets' foundational curriculum. Being a good cadet is not the key criterion for being a successful police officer; rather, it depends significantly on how one maneuver within an organization to influence and lead others successfully. Leadership that focuses on encouraging and motivating people to reach their maximum potential is known as transformational leadership.
This leadership style is characterized by effective communication, setting clear and attainable goals, providing support and guidance, fostering a culture of trust and respect, and leading by example. By adopting a transformational leadership style, individuals and organizations can achieve tremendous success and fulfillment. Based on PLTGEN Binag's story about how he garnered the trust of his men showed me how vital taking note of the welfare of the people around you helps build work relationships faster. It is not enough to be a leader at the center; we must integrate ourselves and be one of the circles, co-existing with our fellow public servants.
He also elucidated the importance of challenging oneself. We must never be contented with just going with the flow and letting the course of nature decide our outcomes. A leader must be creative and resourceful to encourage innovation among their followers. This will create more productive opportunities that will contribute greatly to the betterment of the organization. An effective leader recognizes the importance of embracing differences in people and knows how to connect the dots amongst those differences to get the best outcomes from the team.[1] This cultivates a workplace environment of continuous improvements, innovation, and initiative. The success of the team and the organization depends on leaders encouraging the team to adopt an innovative mindset in which each individual learns to apply the differences that exist among them.[2]
