"The courage of leadership if giving the chance to succeed even though you bear the responsibility for getting things done." — Simon Sinek

A vital part of leadership is the idea of "Ensure the task is understood, supervised and accomplished," which highlights the significance of clear communication, delegation, and follow-through.[1] This concept serves as a reminder for leaders to invest the necessary time in making sure that their team members fully comprehend the task at hand, that the task is being properly monitored, and that the assignment is eventually completed.

To make sure that the team understands the tasks, clear communication is crucial. A team that is motivated and capable of completing the task at hand will be more likely to be led by someone who can clearly explain their expectations and aims. This entails outlining the work in detail as well as offering context and background information to help the team comprehend its significance and their part in completing it.

Another important component of this idea is delegation. A team that can successfully complete the work at hand will be led by a leader who can assign assignments to the appropriate team members. In order to ensure that the task is properly done, it is important to not only assign the appropriate person to the appropriate assignment but also to provide the required resources and assistance. Another important factor in making sure that tasks are completed is follow-through. A team that can successfully complete the task at hand will be led by a leader who can track progress and offer comments. To ensure that the assignment is finished on schedule and to the desired standard, this entails checking in with the team and offering assistance as needed.

Furthermore, it's critical to understand that a team's motivation can be negatively impacted by a leader's micromanagement of the work and the team. Instead, leaders should offer support and advice while also allowing team members the autonomy and freedom to do the task in their own way.

As a whole, the leadership tenet of "Ensure the work is understood, monitored, and performed" highlights the value of effective delegation, follow-through, and clear communication. A team that is motivated and capable of completing the task at hand is more likely to have a leader who lives by this philosophy. Leaders may foster a healthy and productive work atmosphere that benefits their team and their organization by making sure the task is understood, overseen, and completed.

Hi, thanks for dropping by!

I am a cadet of the Philippine National Police Academy Masidtalak Class of 2023. I am also a member of the Alfa Company and the First Battalion Investigation Officer. Just like everybody else, I used to be a civilian who dreamed of becoming a part of the long maroon line.
