A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better. — Jim Rohn

On our last session with the former Captain Gerardo Gambala, he gave us a question before parting ways to know more about ourselves. First, what are my objectives in life, and what are the measures we have taken in pursuing them?

My objective in life is straightforward, and I want to live a simple happy life, living it to the fullest while achieving my dreams and helping my family. Other people might have lofty ambitions, such as becoming a powerful figure in the future, becoming an influential person, and owning riches, but mine is simple. I want to live a comfortable life wherein I achieve my dreams and help my family, a sentiment many of us share. In addition, I want to live my life to the fullest so as not to have many regrets. I want a life wherein I am financially independent and can do whatever I want. I do not wish to become an influential person; I want to be a happy person. I want to let my family, especially my parents, experience comfort in their old age as they sacrificed a lot to achieve our dreams. I would be delighted to see them comfortable in their old age.

Right now, I am pursuing this objective in my everyday living. I am giving my best in my studies so that I can finally achieve my dream of becoming a policeman, as well as to be able to help my family. Additionally, I live my life to the fullest by doing things I like whenever I have free time. I also try new things that incite my curiosity. They add so much color to my life and satiate my inner child, which is so full of curiosity. I am very much committed to achieving my objective in life. Although I stumbled and made some errors, like sometimes I have disagreements in my family, I sometimes inadvertently hurt the people I love with actions I thought were nothing. I try to make it up to them with apologies with effort.

I have had a lot of failures made along the way, but I also gained a lot of lessons that made me who I am today. The letters B to D define life, meaning Birth to Death. In between are the crossroads, choices, and consequences you will encounter along your journey. You must not fail to live by your preferences and live your life to the fullest. As such, whatever choices I make toward achieving my lifetime goal, I do it even if they either end up successful or give me lessons from failures. I am very committed and give my full attention and efforts to something I love and want to achieve. If I am ever at the crossroads of making decisions, I seek the guidance of Christ to show me the way. I pursue my objective in life through the commitment and direction of Christ.

Hi, thanks for dropping by!

I am a cadet of the Philippine National Police Academy Masidtalak Class of 2023. I am also a member of the Alfa Company and the First Battalion Investigation Officer. Just like everybody else, I used to be a civilian who dreamed of becoming a part of the long maroon line.
