"Analysis is the critical starting point of strategic thinking". — Kenichi Ohmae
In the discussion of MAJOR PANCITO, a Philippine Military Academy Graduate of Class 2006, a station commander of DWDD AFP RADIO, he could pinpoint ideas and concepts on how to defeat enemy-centric with the factors of Dislocate, Isolate, Disintegrate, and Destroy.
Knowing these concepts enables me, a first-class graduating cadet and future police officer, to defeat various types of internal and external enemies by having options for action. Moving on to the Community Governance-Centric, we, the soon-to-be Tri-Bureau public safety leaders, must win the hearts and minds of the public through the acts of Compel, Control, Influence, and Support. He also stressed the importance of analyzing the environment to develop updated intelligence to improve the country's security and the public.
Conducting an environmental analysis is essential for any organization or individual to identify potential threats and gather information to support their operations or goals. By conducting an environmental analysis, an organization or individual can identify potential hazards and challenges that they may face in the future. This information can help them to develop strategies and plans to mitigate these threats and ensure their success.
An environmental analysis can also provide valuable information to support the organization's operations, such as the AFP and PNPA, or the individual's goals. Organizations or individuals can make more informed decisions and take appropriate action by gathering and analyzing data on the external factors impacting their operations. It allows them to stay ahead of potential challenges and make more informed decisions to ensure success.
Another critical point that Maj. Pacinto needed security agencies to have a clear and consistent communication strategy to effectively convey their messages to the public. He emphasized the importance of using social media and other digital platforms to reach a wider audience and provide timely updates on the agency's operations and initiatives.
Overall, I found Maj. Pancito's seminar was incredibly informative and thought-provoking. It provided valuable insights into the role of media in promoting and protecting national and public security. It highlighted the importance of engaging with the media to communicate effectively with the public.
