"The changes we seek will benefit all and will shortchange no one" — Pres. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.
A prominent political figure in Philippine politics, Pres. Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., commonly referred to as Bongbong, is the son of the late Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Sr. As a child, President Bongbong Marcos was known for his intelligence and political astuteness.[1] He was often referred to as the "Tiger Cub" of the North, a reference to the strength, courage and tenacity of a tiger.[2] Despite his privileged upbringing, Pres. Bongbong Marcos was a hardworking student who excelled academically. He studied at the Ateneo de Manila University and later at Oxford University, where he earned a degree in comparative government.[3]

Growing up, Pres. Bongbong Marcos and his family were constantly on the move, residing in several homes during their travels. This nomadic lifestyle allowed Pres. Bongbong Marcos to develop a strong sense of adaptability and resilience, essential leadership qualities. He learned to make the best of difficult situations and quickly adjust to new environments and people.

As a cadet of the PNPA and a future public safety officer, one needs to understand the country's history, including the events and personalities that have shaped it. This is why a visit to the abandoned Marcos Mansion in Brgy. Casile, Cabuyao, Laguna is essential to a cadet's education and training.[4]

The Marcos Mansion, also known as the "Marcos Twin Mansion," symbolizes the contributions and sacrifices made by the Marcos family in service to the Philippines.[5] Pres. Bongbong Marcos has been praised for his political understanding and commitment to public service. The mansion serves as a reminder of the family's commitment to the country and their contributions to Philippine history.
Overall, the abandoned Marcos mansion is a valuable piece of Philippine history that shows Pres. Bongbong's experiences in this abandoned mansion instilled a deep appreciation for the importance of community and family. He learned the value of supporting one another, especially in times of difficulty and uncertainty. This has driven his commitment to serve others and to work towards a better future for all Filipinos.
