In line with the Revitalized KASIMBAYANAN PROGRAM and CPNP’s MKK=K Peace and Order Strategic Framework Program,{1] on January 23, 2023, Police Cadets from Philippine National Police Academy joined the personnel of Tagaytay Component City Police Station, together with Religious Sector under the direct supervision of PLTCOL Charles Daven M. Capagcuan, OIC Tagaytay Component City Police Station as they conduct Barangay Visitations in Brgy Neogan, Brgy Zambal and Brgy Kaybagal South, Tagaytay City.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) recognizes the value of visiting and engaging with barangays because it fosters goodwill and trust between the police and the people they serve. Regular encounters allow the PNP to better understand community needs and concerns, which can aid them in addressing crime and safety concerns. A positive relationship between the police and the community increases the likelihood of information sharing and cooperation.[2]

Furthermore, it is a good way for the PNP to identify potential criminal activities to prevent them from happening; this could be achieved by understanding the community dynamics and the pattern of criminal activities in the area, which could lead to the creation of community-based policing strategies.

In summary, the importance of visitation and dialogue with barangays for the PNP lies in its ability to build trust, understanding, and cooperation with the community, leading to more effective crime prevention and community safety.

As a PNPA cadet and future police officer, it is crucial to understand the significance of visiting and interacting with barangays. Engaging with the community allows for the building of trust and goodwill between the police and the people they serve, which is essential in promoting a positive relationship. Regular encounters provide an opportunity to better understand the needs and concerns of the community, which can aid in addressing crime and safety issues.

Visiting barangays and having a dialogue with the community is a critical aspects of being an excellent future police officer. By engaging with the community, as future police officers, we can gain a deeper understanding of their needs and concerns, which can aid in promoting a safe and secure community. As a PNPA cadet, it is important to embrace this approach and prioritize building relationships with the communities we serve to establish a culture of goodwill for the safety of people and their communities.

Hi, thanks for dropping by!

I am a cadet of the Philippine National Police Academy Masidtalak Class of 2023. I am also a member of the Alfa Company and the First Battalion Investigation Officer. Just like everybody else, I used to be a civilian who dreamed of becoming a part of the long maroon line.
